This place was PERFECT for a quick/relaxing weekend. We were able to walk from the Auckland ferry terminal to the property. From the property we could walk to the town and beach of Oneroa. We opt'ed not to explore much of the island as we were there for relaxing after 5 days of camping but options to rent bikes were very close by, as well as bus stops. The house was clean and had a lovely front and back porch and a well stocked kitchen.

This place is a beautiful little home, short walk into the main centre of Oneroa. Lovely, clean and with a stunning view from the balcony. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts with great recommendations in the local area.

Walking distance to Oneroa and marvellous beaches. Beautiful nearby walking tracks. Great, private home - very comfortable. Hosts were amazing!

What a beautiful spot for a long weekend on the island! It's really easy to get to from the ferry, walk to wineries, down to the beach and local shops/cafes. A nice kiwi Bach vibe with views over the water - stunning. Well stocked home with everything you'd need. Highly recommend and will be coming back to relax ?

Had a comfortable stay. The view was amazing, the bed comfortable and water pressure in the shower was great.
Chris was friendly and helpful and went out of her way to be welcoming.

Great spot with nice views and easy walk to shops and beaches

This is the perfect place to escape the world. The million dollar views over Huruhi Bay are exactly as promised, and you get them from both inside and outside the cottage! Be careful though, it is far too easy to anchor yourself on the deck drinking (too much) wine and enjoying the views. The cottage is bright and airy inside, and perfectly sized for short and longer solo or couple get aways. Oneroa village is a short, five minute walk through Alison Park where you will find restaraunts and cafes; a small supermarket and organic grocer; retail shops, including a discount and local wine store; beaches; and the local bus service. Blackpool Beach is a short walk down the hill, and provides stunning views of Huruhi Bay. It is also where you will find the only Marae on Waiheke Island. From the cottage you can also access a network of tramping trails that will take you through some of the most beautiful scenery New Zealand has to offer. Cable Bay and Mudbrick wineries are an easy walk from the property; although, you are never very far from a winery where ever you find yourself on Waiheke! Alice and Chris were the most wonderful hosts, and could not have done more to make me feel welcome. They repsonded quickly my questions and went out of their way to make my stay memorable, including reminding me to watch the Women's Rugby World Cup 2021 final - what a game! The cottage had everything I needed, and represents outstanding value given its location, views and amenity.

This place had everything we could have asked for. Great location and a lovely deck that has great views! Alice made us feel very welcome and the house was fully equipped with games and everything we could need! Highly recommend for a couple looking for a nice weekend getaway!

The location and place itself is perfect for a short term or long stay. Checkin and out was a breeze and everything was super clean and well laid out. Would stay there again for sure!

This cottage has everything for a couple to relax in for a few days (or longer). The location is superb for visitors without a car (although with a car - plenty of off street parking) as it is an easy 10 minute stroll to Oneroa village via a lovely public walkway though a park. Once in the village you are spoilt for choice of cafes, bars and restaurants plus two grocery stores to pick up all the provisions needed to self-cater. Oneroa also has two local beaches. Two amazing winery restaurants are also walking distance from the cottage - Cable Bay is literally 10 minutes by footpath. Very handy! and Mudbrick another 5 minutes from there. The bus service from Oneroa village is fantastic. Regular services - clean, airconditioned and electric buses will take you to the amazing Onetangi beach and Palm beach. The cottage has a huge front deck that has a view straight through to Blackpool beach, the perfect spot to sit and have a drink of an evening.
